New Orleans artist Aimée R. Burslem captures what matters most about the moment of action in her paintings. Inspired by the style, composition, textures, and colors from the photographers and skateboarders of New Orleans and surrounding area, she creates hard-edged, vibrant, detailed paintings of what is most inspirational about that moment in time.

Burslem, who grew up on the North Shore, has been surrounded by an artistic and creative family her whole life. As a teenager in the mid-90’s, she bought her first skateboard and skated with a passion for years. Skateboarding, and the people that come along with it, have remained a very important influence throughout her life. In every piece she paints, Burslem wishes to exemplify the inspiration that is part of this glorious scene around us.
